Norse-Gael Warlord

Jarl Eóghan mac Ragnaill

This is a model I am using as a leader for the miniatures game SAGA. He represents a fictional Norse-Gael warlord who I’ve named Jarl Eóghan mac Ragnaill.

The model is by Gripping Beast, except the head which I appropriated from an Empire Greatsword by Games Workshop. I removed the Greatsword’s hair and sculpted a beard out of greenstuff.

Raymond IV, Count of Toulouse

This model was the first I ever entered into a painting competition, namely the Perry Miniatures Painting Contest at Historicon 2012. I managed to take 3rd place in the vignette category!

I painted this last year, but I feel I have already learned so much since then and I’m looking forward to painting display models for competition soon.

Putty & Paint

I stumbled across the awe-inspiring painting gallery yesterday. I think this will be a great first post for my new painting blog, and an amazing source of inspiration!
